Delicious Herbs

Welcome to my herb blog. On my website you will find 8 of my most favorite herbs and a delicious dish that can be made with them.

Basil

Basil is one of my favorite herbs due to the fragrant aroma when added to any Italian dish. To really make the basil the star of the dish, is as a pesto sauce in fettuccine. Top it off with some protein, like an oven baked chicken breast with paprika seasoning and sun dried tomatoes to give it a wider flavour profile and compliment the green pasta.

Thyme

Thyme has a mild taste and tends to not overpower dishes and instead compliments them well. I personally use them in seafood dishes. Adding some fresh thyme and sliced lemon to a barramundi fillet will highlight the natural taste of the fish. Pair it with baked vegetables and quinoa to create a healthy protein rich meal.

Parsley

Have you ever ordered a snack pack at a kebab shop and chose tabouli as one of your toppings to feel just a little better about your choices? Did you know that tabouli tastes great on its own. By mixing freshley chopped parsley with quinoa and a dash of lemon, you can create a really refreshing salad for those hot summer lunchtimes.

Chives

Heard of sour cream and onion chips? You can use the basic ingrediants and create a filling side dish to compliment your meal. Top off your baked potato with a sour cream and chives mixture to give it a savoury and creamy flavour.

Mint

Mint is a very versitile herb that is used in many recepies. However, I prefer to use it in my afternoon tea. Toss a few fresh mint leaves along with an earl grey tea bag and you have yourself a refreshing minty tea.

Curry Leaves

A simple chicken tikka masala is a delicious and filling lunch. Pair it with a flatbread of your choice and enjoy the smooth texture paired with a distinct savoury taste.

Hello and welcome to my blog. I made this website by hand and from scratch, just like I do my cooking. I created this collection of items because I love cooking and wanted to experiment with different ideas that stem from one herb.
